Like many people I’m reading David Allen’s book Getting Things Done. I have been following the idea for months and now am finally reading the book. I read 43 Folders and Life Hacker which deal with GTD most every day. As I read through the book and he talks about different aspects of the Getting Things Done like Input, Processing, Doing or Next Action and Review I am trying to get systems in place to function through them. Being on a Mac I have the great privilege of using Kinkless and bought Omni Outliner Pro last Friday to run it and I’ve set up a few Smart Folders in Apple Mail to use in conjunction with Mail Tags to make comments on emails such as “Call” and “Waiting For” to keep track of next actions required from my email inbox. I also have two Smart Folders (1) that shows emails received today and (2) one that shows emails received 2 – 5 days ago, which was a great idea from Merlin Mann.







I also found a great little program called Countdown that is just a timer that you can use to time those actions you can do in 2 minutes.
