I have a post in the works but I’m trying to work it all out in my head before I blog about it but I haven’t blogged in a couple of days and figured I wanted to get something up.

I among others fell for his April Fools Day joke. Oh well, there is something to be said about caring for others and not realizing what day it is. First off I’m sad to hear that Scott Hodges of Orchard Community Church has hung up his blogging boots. Scott is revitalizing a church in the Chicago area and it has been great to hear about things going on in his life and church over the last year or so I have been reading blogs. I would post a link but he’s taking it all down. Its also sad to hear that guys let blogging become to much of their lives and feel the pressure to produce and when they get overwhelmed to just hang it up. Guys like Scott have a lot to offer and I will miss reading his stuff.

Second quick thought is that Florida is going to the NCAA Final Game. I picked them to go all the way in my bracket this year but wasn’t sure if they could beat some of the other great teams on their side of the bracket like Villanova, Duke, UNC but George Mason helped with some of that and then didn’t play to good last night in the Final Four Game against Florida.

Lastly we had a great gathering this morning. Robbie was with the Christian Surfers at their annual surf contest here in Ormond Beach. We have been planning for Robbie to be gone and Drew to do a VH1 Storytellers like gathering and talk about some of the original worship songs that he has written and what God was teaching him or working him through when he wrote them. It was great. If you have a worship guy who writes his own stuff I highly recommend taking a week of your regular teaching style and give your people a change of pace, take a week off for yourself and do something like this. I’m not sure if we are going to have a podcast of this or if we are going to have some CD’s available, but I’ll let you know.
