While have been taking my time getting through The Shaping Of Things To Come I am really digging into the principles that come out of it. It is Bike Week here in Daytona Beach, from last Friday to this coming Saturday there will probably some where north of 400,000 bikers throughout the city partying, hanging out together, riding in groups lots of cool stuff that bikers do and bad stuff. But I have been trying to rap my mind around the idea of incarnational ministry and what it would look like with bikers at an event like Bike Week.
Here is what I have so far:
-maybe a non-churchy tent among the other vendors there
-offering free food, drinks, cool place to sit and hang out
-group of people who ride motorcycles or like bikers hanging out and talking with people that come through
-decorations and music that fit bikers (creating environment)
