Jordan Cooper wrote a post the other day that really mad me think. He quoted a story out of Christianity Today about Christians who are more worried about our constitutional rights to be Christians than living out our Christianity.
He is so right. I’m so tired of flipping through the channel and seeing well know TV preachers who talk more about politics than scripture. My personal opinion is that having these rights hinders us more than helps us. The faith of Christians who have to meet underground and with the threat of inprisonment is so much greater than that of Christians in America. We fight more for our so called freedom and stop fighting for righteousness that God calls us to. Our fight is not to be of this world but to set ourselves apart from it. Hardly any well known names are fighting for doing what Scripture has called us to do. Rick Warren, Bono, anyone else? You?
