Regarding yesterdays post on volunteers…
What are you doing to motivate your volunteers?
What are you doing to inspire them to be great ministers?
Are you equping them to succeed or fail?
Its our job a paid staff to equip volunteers to do the best job they can. As a church grows either we will either get better at recruiting, training, equiping and motivating volunteers or we will hinder the church as it reaches to impact the community and people it is trying to reach. Now I know that I’m not the greatest at this. But I am trying. I recently picked up Bill Hybles book “The Volunteer Revolution“. Also a great book I picked about a few weeks ago was Tony Morgan and Tim Stevens’ book “Simply Strategic Volunteers“. This is a great book because it keeps it simple as is set up to help with specific subjects not just principles. I have heard great things about these and hope that they will help me develop as a leader of volunteers.
On a side note all of Tony Morgan and Tim Stevens’ books are great. Simply Strategic Stuff, Volunteers and Growth.
