This summer our student ministry is trying something different. Instead of a conference we are doing a 4 day service project. I’ve been thinking that it time for my group to stop sitting around and doing nothing or being spiritually fed (not a bad thing) and do something with their faith. CIY does a program called “Know Sweat” and Group Publishing does “Work Camps” but I wanted something at least for the first trip to be something in our own town. We are going to be doing a project for Old Savannah City Mission on Wednesday, on Thursday we are going to Gainesville, FL to the Christian Campus House at UF (the road trip part), Friday afternoon we travel back to Savannah and do one more project on Saturday for the Savannah Care Center. I will post more as the week and projects go along explaining what all we did and what a great time we had.
